Check me out on the Pompeii episode of Soiled Restroom Cinema.
A slave (Kit Harington) fights for his life in the doomed city of Pompeii while falling in love with a landowner's daughter (Emily Browning), and seeking revenge on a Roman senator (Kiefer Sutherland) who killed his parents years earlier. A CGI volcano 'splosion will wipe out all this soap opera nonsense, but not soon enough.
I had the joy of filming another 48 hour film festival adventure with The Big Honkin'. Please check out "The Goodfather".
This baked ziti is my signature recipe. I love it because, it's easy to throw together, and it's a real crowd pleaser. This is also a dish you can make ahead of time, and then throw in the oven. It's great for pot lucks, birthdays, or to bring over to someone's place just because.
1 box of ziti noodles
1 jar of marinara sauce
1 cup of ricotta
3/4 cups of parmesan (make sure it says vegetarian on the label)
1 cup of mozzarella
1 large egg
STEP TWO: While the pasta is broiling you can whip up the ricotta filling.
Mix in 1 cup or ricotta.
1/4 cup of parmesan
1/2 cup of grated mozzarella
1 large egg
A little salt and pepper
STEP THREE: Lay it all together in a baking dish. PRO TIP: I put some parchment paper down between the dish and the noodles, because I hate cleaning. Just make sure your parchment is oven safe and you're all good.
Half of the pasta in the baking dish, with all of the creamy ricotta spread on top.
Cover with remaining mozzarella. I sprinkle a little salt, pepper and oregano on top but it's optional.
STEP FOUR: Bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes.
And your'e done!
